Having managed to get through corporate life unscathed (just), I am following my passion.... Metal Art. I live in the mountains of beautiful Bulgaria where the frostbite winters are fierce and the summers are sunburn perfect. I bought an old village house and have spent several years renovating which included rebuilding the old goats barn and transforming it into my forge and workshop (gallery to follow). My forge is warm in the winter and cool in the hot summers so I can work year round creating unique pieces of art.
I spent my childhood taking everything apart to see how it worked and built mega structures from Lego and Meccano, which surprisingly lead to a career in Engineering. I completed a full apprenticeship (rare thing these days) and struggled on and upwards through University. I landed my dream job as a Development Engineer which meant I could create, build and learn all at once! Now in Bulgaria, 33 years on from my apprenticeship, having done what I had to do, packed it all in one Friday, hung up the suit and tie and on the Monday put on my leather apron and started working full time with an old English Master Blacksmith. Now I can create, build and sell my OWN work. My proudest and very latest achievement is that my work is exhibited and sold in the International Art Gallery in Bansko. (Imagine that, an engineer in an art gallery)
I love creating one-off personalised, handmade pieces from many different metals, my favourites being copper and steel. I'm very proud of my ability to transform a customers idea into reality, and this makes customer commissions my most enjoyable work. Inspired by the beauty of the mountains, the nature and the four distinct seasons in Bulgaria, I've loved creating a range of the most beautiful country flowers, handmade from pure Copper and Iron. To compliment the flowers I've added a quartet of wildlife critters, namely butterflies, ladybirds, dragonflies and bumble bees. Both stand-alone and within Wall Art the flowers and wildlife are stunning pieces ideal in your garden and home or as a beautiful, unique gift.

I particularly love creating personalised pieces where you can choose a quote or tell me your own unique message, names and dates which can be hand stamped on my work, making them ideal for everlasting, one of a kind, personal gifts.

All my work is unique and 100% handmade at the anvil by myself using traditional Blacksmiths tools. I hand stamp my initials onto every piece to prove authenticity. I rarely paint my work unless specifically requested because I believe the natural beauty of the metals should speak for themselves. I do however add beautiful flame colouring to my copper work which adds depth and stunning rainbow colours to the copper.
